about.
Hey there--my name is Kate. I'm a San Francisco Bay Area based writer, photographer, life coach, and travel enthusiast. I have always loved the sense of freedom and adventure before me when I pack a bag with the necessities and then take off for an undefined adventure. After a thirty-day trip around various parts of Europe in 2008, I fell in love with Italy, and that's when I began dreaming big, asking myself: when could I go back?
I arranged my life in such a way that I would be able to spend the summer of 2009 living in Florence. The process of doing that is part of the story that I share here--and along the way, to explore what it has meant for me to shift my life in such a way as to accomodate travel. How could I afford it? How did I find the time? Do I speak Italian? These are the questions I'm most often asked, and I love to share the answers in the hopes of inspiring others to live their travel dreams.
In addition to my current work on a book about Courageous Travel, I'm preparing for another experience--living abroad for a year, starting in September 2010. My partner and I will be living in a handful of select cities around Europe, and during that time I will be freelancing, leading an e-course called The Courageous Year, and leading Your Courageous Life retreats. Until my departure, I'm leading workshops in the San Francisco, Bay Area. Would you like to join us?
In addition to travel, I'm passionate about reading, yoga, long coffee chats with storytellers, running, and starting each morning off with a latte. You can learn more here: www.katecourageous.com and at www.thiscourageouslife.com
I leave the rest to be discovered!
